The Pope of Greenwich Village is for me one of the biggest surprises of the year 1984. If a movie can manage me to stay hooked on the whole movie online, that's really impressive. Before you read this review and before I spoil you the story, watch the movie, I highly recommend it. In my opinion, some of the actors roles were just a masterpieces which made an amazing impression on me. I had the opportunity to watch The Pope of Greenwich Village sitting in a comfortable armchair in front of the TV. Earlier I heard a lot of good about this film, but with other movies from Stuart Rosenberg, I did not give myself much hope.
